The trip involved a visit to Frida Kahlo's residence, hence the decorative touch on the inside boards featuring her.  The labels on the front boards are blocked in black onto calf and hand painted to the customer's specification.  The books are bound in half calf.  The larger is a hand made glued Victorian style album and the smaller is the A4 trip itinerary that was converted from a sprial binding to calf binding.<span class="full-image-inline"><span><img  src="http://www.otterbookbinding.com/storage/albums2.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1218582572513"></span></span></p>The style of the album is Victorian made with linen strips and acid free board.  Below is an example of the opening of a Victorian Style photo album<div><span class="full-image-block"><span><img  src="http://www.otterbookbinding.com/storage/IMG_1968.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1224178975791"></span></span><br><p><span class="full-image-block"><span><img  src="http://www.otterbookbinding.com/storage/albums1.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1218582601195"></span></span></p></div>]]></content></entry><entry><title>Wimbledon Presentation Albums</title><id>http://www.otterbookbinding.com/albums-and-journals/2008/8/12/wimbledon-presentation-albums.html</id><link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://www.otterbookbinding.com/albums-and-journals/2008/8/12/wimbledon-presentation-albums.html"/><author><name>Marysa</name></author><published>2008-08-12T23:48:53Z</published><updated>2008-08-12T23:48:53Z</updated><content type="html" xml:lang="en-GB"><![CDATA[<p>Four books bound in 2008 and presented by the All England Lawn Tennis Association to Tim Henman, Roger Federer, Venus Williams and Rafael Nadal. &nbsp;Many of the photographs were taken by well known award winning sports photographer <a href="http://www.bobmartin.com/">Bob Martin.</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;Coated watercolour paper larger than A3 was printed on. &nbsp;The pages were then bound in green 563 Arbelave Buckram with canson mi-teintes Wimbledon green fly leaves. &nbsp;The books were single pages, glued and separated into sections before being sewn on linen tapes. The slip cases were specially made to fit the books and covered in the same material. The sides of the slip cases have raised rounded sides to protect the edges of the books.</p>

<p>Two books bound for presentation to Venus Williams and Roger Federer by The All England Lawn Tennis Club. These are A3 size and bound in green arbelave buckram with a protective slip case made of the same cloth. &nbsp;</p>
