Aryma Marquetry approached us wanting a beautiful brochure to promote their finest quality Marquetry to the most discerning of Clients. Together we came up with this very striking orange Colorado cloth embossed binding.

This book was formatted, printed and bound by the Otter Bindery. The materials were chosen by the client; the pages were arranged and sewn as sections in the traditional manner. This allows the book to open flat. The book was bound in turquoise full leather, with two raised bands, and embossed, with hand-decorated paste end-papers.

This client approached us after the bindery appeared on TV's Housegift programme. He asked us to bind a run of his memoirs.

This is a facsimile of a diary that was written in the 1930's. The book had been scanned originally rather crookedly so each jpeg was straightened and set out in a publishing programme so that it would print in a way that could be folded and sewn so as to open easily and be bound in the traditional manner.

These were printed in-house in single page format on a good quality cream cartridge paper. The text block was stab stitched and then bound in a teracotta goat skin before having the title embossed in gold.
This was commissioned as a gift to record wine tastings. The book was printed on a cream cartridge in landscape with columns designed and pages printed so that real sections could be printed, folded and sewn in folds so that the pages opened out flat. The book was bound in a native morocco goatskin with linen front and back and gold lettering on the front.
